We are getting settled in our new home. Just a short walk from the park, campus and the square, we are really getting to know the area. You know you've gotten spoiled when driving 5 or so miles to the mall seems so far. How quickly we forget! The boys are making lots of new friends at their school. Charles is so independant (especially in public when he has an image to maintain). When we take him to school, he walks several feet in front of us, opens gates and doors on his own and finds his way to his group. About the most we'll get out of him is a quick half wave, like OK, you can go now. Meanwhile, John Wells makes us feel extra loved by shadowing us and saying in a real quiet voice, "I want to go with Daddy" or "I want to go with Mommy." We are assured he is fine the minute we leave. One thing we like about their new school is that the boys are together often throughout the day whether it's on the playground, in the common room or during chapel. When I go to get them in the afternoons, they are always sitting right by each other. It's nice to think of them looking out for each other when they are away from home.
